What is the link between chemical compounds used in consumer products and migrating birds? How can fibers hundreds of times thinner than a human hair be built into fast, inexpensive, easy to use disease detectors? Can exposure to environmental chemicals increase incidences of obesity and diabetes? Cornell’s top researchers are working on answering these intriguing and provocative questions. Join the conversation on chemical exposure in everyday life to understand how this research affects your well-being and your environment.

Panelists: 

• Anthony Hay is associate professor in microbiology and faculty fellow at the David R. Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future.

• Motoko Mukai is a senior research associate, environmental/veterinary toxicologist, and faculty fellow at the David R. Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future.

• Margaret Frey is associate professor of fiber science at the College of Human Ecology and faculty fellow at the Cornell Institute of Fashion and Fiber Innovation.
