Hunter Rawlings III, was the 10th president of Cornell (starting in 1987 and returning as interim president several times.) and educated students of all ages in the classics across his career. He lives in the DMV and will be celebrated on May 17 with the establishment of a Reading Room at the Washington Latin Public Charter School. Stillman, Class of 1982, founded Stroke Smart to educate people on how to spot when a person is having a stroke in order to get them to immediate medical attention to prevent serious long term effects. Learn more from Alan's Ted Talk and resources at the Virginia Department of Education.

Our club is looking for volunteers with technical and web communications expertise to hop onto our very fun Communications Committee. Reach back to help develop our next generation of communications for CCW.
Book Discussions gather our readers for discussions over dinner. Pre-register so that YOUR availability is used to set up the schedule. Supporting Veterans by Cornell Professor General George W. Casey, Jr. will be discussed in May, so get your copy and/or read its executive summary posted at the order page. You will give yourself an important analysis of veterans' matters so that you can contribute resourcefully to national policy needs in 2026. Contact our VP/ Community Service if you have questions.
E-mail the VP of Programming in order to post and host events such as a gathering for our "Explore DC Happy Hour" series.
Great news for our members with 10th and 11th graders! Cornell is receiving applications for the DC Summer Policy Institute. Rising 11th and 12 graders will attend at the Wolpe Center near Dupont Circle from July 6-17. It's a 2-week non-residential course to earn 2 college credits. Spread the word on this new program! Guidance counselors and promising students at your local high school will love learning about it.
