The Republic of Slovenia, formerly part of Yugoslavia, lies at the heart of Europe, where the Alps face the Pannonian plains and the Mediterranean meets the Karst area which is famous for its caves and natural springs. Slovenia borders Austria to the North, Hungary is to the East, Croatia to the South, and Italy to the West. The embassy is one of the most modern embassies in Washington, DC and was built in 2007 by Monarc Construction, the most famous embassy builder in the US. Dress is coat and tie for men, work attire for women.
