Overview: Join fellow alumni in sorting and bagging produce at frequent partner location Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). AFAC has been working to end hunger in Northern Virginia for over 25 years.
Volunteers should be 12+ years old and are asked to adhere to a safety dress code, including wearing closed –toe shoes. Tasks will include sorting, bagging, and boxing produce and dry goods, as well as other light labor. http://www.afac.org/volunteer/.
It is cold in the warehouse in January, so please remember to bring coats, jackets, or heavy sweaters!
