You are cordially invited to join us for an excellent meal & conversation with fellow Cornellians at our Annual Dinner.
CCW is thrilled to welcome Vice President Emerita, Susan H. Murphy, B.A. Arts & Sciences '73, Ph.D, '94, as our keynote speaker. This event is a must - attend on your calendar this year - Washington DC is the final stop for Dr. Murphy, prior to returning to Ithaca and her retirement in June.
A 1973 graduate of the Cornell College of Arts & Sciences, Dr Murphy returned to Cornell in 1978 after earning her Masters degree at Montclair State College and Stanford University. She worked for 16 years in Admissions and Financial Aid at Cornell, including 9 years as Dean of Admissions. While serving in that role, Susan completed her Ph.D. in Educational Administration at Cornell and subsequently was appointed to her immediate past positions, as Vice President of Student and Academic Services, serving for more than 20 years, until her retirement on June 30, 2015. She has touched virtually every area of the Cornell experience, including Student Health, Residential Life, and Athletics, among many others. Susan remains in the Division of Alumni Affairs and Development, assisting with fundraising & alumni engagement, through June 2016.
During this special evening, CCW President, Grace Jean, '00 will preside over a brief CCW Business Meeting, including the Annual Report, presentation of the Bondareff and Best Program Awards, and recognition of the outgoing/election of incoming Board Members.
The Army Navy Club on Farragut Square (ANC) will serve as our venue. Since its beginning, the ANC has been "home away from home" for the most illustrious names in America's military history.
The Cocktail Reception includes passed hors d'oeuvres and 2 drink tickets. Additional drink tickets including non alcoholic beverage tickets will be available for purchase during the Cocktail Hour & may be redeemed throughout the evening.
The evening will also include a 3 - course plated Dinner:
Appetizer: Wild Mushroom Soup
Entree: Choice of Select Salmon or Chicken Piccata
Dessert: Chocolate Pecan Bourbon Pie & Coffee/Tea

Sponsorship Levels
This year we are extending a special opportunity to current Cornell students and our newer Cornell alumni community members. There is an opportunity for alumni to provide a level of sponsorship to assist in including more of our Cornell community in this special celebration. Any funds raised over the cost of the Annual Dinner will be donated to the Cornell Club of Washington Scholarships, to directly benefit students who are from our area who are attending Cornell.
Please note: All sponsorship level registrations include a private reception with Vice President Emerita Susan Murphy, as well as standing and program recognition during the evening. Private Reception details will be sent to sponsors separately.
The Mentoring Bear ($44) in addition to a regular Member ticket limited to 5 or ($123 total) provides Sponsorship of a young alumnus/a; please email A'ndrea Van Schoick alv1@cornell.edu if you are interested in this sponsorship level. This unique level of sponsorship will assist in enabling Cornell students in Washington and recent Cornell alumni to attend this special celebration.
