Event 2 of 3 in the annual Elizabeth Garrett Cornell Cares Series.
The Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF - www.lostdogrescue.org
) is once again partnering with Cornell Club of Washington, D.C.
Our volunteers will staff a LDCRF Adoption Event at Petco in Rockville.
Since 2001, LDCRF has been taking in abandoned or displaced dogs and cats facing euthanasia, and placing them in loving foster and permanent homes. All animals in the care of LDCRF have been spayed or neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. LDCRF stages adoption events at locations around the DC metro area to show off their adorable animals to prospective adopters.
At this adoption event, volunteers will be responsible for a dog. Each volunteer will walk the dog around the store, introduce the dog to prospective adopters, answer questions, and help the potential adopters with the adoption process. Each volunteer will be given a file to become acquainted with the dog.
Maximum capacity of 8 volunteers
Space is limited for this event, so RSVP early! Children are permitted but should not be listed separately in your registration count as they must be supervised at all times.
Each volunteer will be assigned a dog to watch over at a pet adoption event. This event is limited to volunteers who are able to walk around with a dog throughout the event.
Metro- Twinbrook (Red); Petco Rockville is located in Congressional Plaza (with Staples and Michaels), a half mile from the Twinbrook Metro Station
