Seasons of Perfection: Big Red Championship Lacrosse and Richie Moran

  • 03/12/2024
  • 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Join the Classes of ’77 and '78 for a webinar exploring NCAA lacrosse’s first dynasty – Cornell’s march to national dominance in the 1970s!  Under Hall of Fame coach Richie Moran, Big Red lacrosse became a powerhouse, winning the inaugural NCAA Lacrosse Championship in 1971, and then again in 1976 and 1977, highlighted by a 42-0 win streak.

On March 12, players from those historic teams, the Cornell Sun sports editor during those years, and the author of an acclaimed book capturing the rise of Richie Moran’s Big Red teams of the 1970s will share their perspectives on those remarkable seasons and the legendary coach who brought innovation to the sport and championship lacrosse to Ithaca.

When? Tuesday, March 12.   Time? 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm (EDT).
