Join fellow animal lovers to volunteer at a Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF) adoption event.  LDCRF rescues abandoned or displaced dogs and cats from the threat of euthanasia in over-crowded shelters or other at-risk situations and places them for adoption into loving homes.  So far, LDCRF have saved over 16,000 lives!  
 
Volunteers will help match potential adopters with rescue dogs.  Each volunteer will be given an animal to help handle.   Throughout the duration of the adoption event, you will walk the animal around the store and outside.  The goal is to interest people in the animals and find potential adopters for your animal. 
 
Maximum capacity of 12 volunteers

PetSmart 7690 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22306 is located on Route 1 just south of 495. From 495, take exit 177A and merge onto Route 1 South towards Ft Belvoir.  In about 2.5 miles, PetCo will be on your right.  The nearest Metro is Huntington on the Yellow Line.  Please let me know if you are interested in taking the Metro, so we can organize carpooling from the station.
