Overview: Make Mom proud this Mother’s Day and donate a small chunk of your free time to help the needy in your own community.  Just a few hours on May 12 can help feed dozens of families in Northern Virginia.

The National Association of Letter Carriers, as part of their annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive, have collected boxed and canned goods from local residents.  CCW is working with our friends at the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) to sort these collected food items, so that they may be timely distributed to those in need. We are looking for 12 volunteers to ensure that the day goes smoothly.  Our tasks will include light manual labor: mainly sorting, boxing, and storing foods, as well as some light cleaning. This event is suitable for adults and families with older children.
