Time: Early arrivals at 11 am; Tour starts at noon.

Join Cornellians for a tour of the National Gallery of Art's Italian Renaissance collection. We begin as early as 11 am for an optional meet and greet in the Garden Cafe near the 6th street entrance. Can't come that early? No problem. At 11:55 you'll find our group at the Rotunda (Main floor just up steps from the National Mall's main entrance.)

In both places, introduce yourself to your host from CCW, Maggie (wearing a red scarf, NS holding -small Cornell pennant.) The NGA's docent will lead the tour at noon. This is a public tour and Cornellians will comprise a subset of the group. Included will be the option to view Leonardo da Vinci's only oil painting in the Western Hemisphere!

1:15 pm (optional): folks can continue to walk about the National Gallery of Art on their own, or might socialize over coffee or lunch downstairs at the Espresso and Gelato Bar or Cascade Cafe on the concourse between the East and West buildings. Menus and Info are at https://www.nga.gov/visit/food-drink

CCW regularly performs community service, and this is the 4th in a series to offer gratitude, social connection and a little fun "art therapy" to Federal workers, First Responders and all Public Servants. We value their expertise and contribution and they are our guests of honor.

Resources: Maggie offers learning resources, vocabulary, videos and techniques for "slow looking" (to peruse ahead or use in follow-up to deepen your art appreciation) at https://sites.google.com/view/ccw-event-details/art-gallery-visits
