Come join in the experience of University Row at Virginia Gold Cup, held at the Great Meadows Race Course.  

The Virginia Gold Cup is having its 88th running on May 4, 2013. Join recent graduates from MIT, The Seven Sisters, The Ivy League, University of Chicago, and Johns Hopkins at the 15th annual University Row celebration. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 1 at noon and prices are as follows: 


Tent + Bus Price includes transportation from Ballston Mall to and from Great Plains VA (40 miles from DC) all day all you can eat, open bar (beer, wine, better than average hard liquor) and the amazing experience with 1500+ other alums in 13 tents on University Row, many dressed in their finest.

The Virginia Gold Cup is a grand spring tradition as well as a fixture on the social calendar. Run in Fauquier County since 1922 and attended by over 50,000 spectators, this race is one of the largest and most popular sporting events in the greater Washington metropolitan area. Race day features six hurdle and timber horses races, Jack Russell Terrier races, tent, tailgate and hat contests, and vendor booths for shopping.
