LifeStyle DC: The LifeStyle Hotel Sector in the Nation’s Capital

Where are Washington's "cool" and "hip" boutique and lifestyle hotels? They are here and more are coming, so please join us for a conversation about the boutique & lifestyle hotel sector in DC. The boutique & lifestyle hotel segment may be hard to define, but that has been no impediment to it receiving widespread attention in the decade since the introduction of the first W hotel (we have one of those in town!).

Even most of the international "brands" that might be considered mainstream now have one or several concepts in the boutique & lifestyle space, and dozens of new brands have been introduced into the segment. The concept of a lifestyle hotel is expanding to such a degree that lifestyle lodging can now be found among several different chain classifications, from economy to luxury. The fact that the concept is not only reaching varied income brackets, but also wider demographics makes it one the hottest topics today!

The panel will address the evolution of this segment within the industry and the metropolitan DC area, current dynamics and trends within the sector and prospects for further evolution and development.
