Join fellow Capital Area Cornell Women on October 1 for a morning of networking and to hear from Cornell Law School alum Julie Myers Wood.

Be a part of the conversation as Wood shares her story of navigating a career path that has taken her from the courtroom to the boardroom. Wood will discuss:

  • how to move seamlessly across sectors (law, government, business)
  • how she took her business from startup to acquisition
  • what it’s like to go from being the boss at ICS Consulting to being CEO at Guidepost Solutions

Wood, who has a BA in English from Baylor University, was the former Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and is a recognized expert on immigration and law enforcement issues who has testified before Congress and appeared in numerous media forums. In addition to her day job, she serves as commissioner on the American Bar Association’s Commission on Immigration and is a member of the ABA’s Task Force on Human Trafficking.  For a full bio: http://www.guidepostsolutions.com/about_leadership_julie_myers_wood.php
