Registration closes June 18 at midnight.

Details, links, continual updates, trail map, cancellations: https://sites.google.com/view/ccw-event-details/running-walking-group

This is CCW's Alzheimer's Association event. Casually conducted, a little bit tongue-in-cheek, and especially terrific as an event to bring a friend, bring the kids, take it fast or slow around the National Mall.  Make it a father-daughter run, a mother-son run.  it's casual and small but a community service event.

It's SOCIAL. You'll meet some cool Cornellians when you come to Falls Church. Don't want to walk more than a mile? No problem! Our web page gives you the trail maps for stroller, dog-walking or RUNNING options.

Your advanced registration helps organizers make sure we have enough bananas for all.
Registration becomes FREE if you meet our posted criteria.

Paid parking is available on Independence or at L'Enfant Plaza.

Bad weather cancels the event or might shift it to 8 am out of caution against heat. (That includes a killer heat wave or anything rainier than a mild, refreshing mist. A notice of such change will be placed at our URL above as early as 6:30 am.)

Participate at your own risk. There's no med tent! Bring water!   And don't miss the paddle boating option in the Tidal Basin to celebrate afterwards. (Make your reservations for that independently, please.)

    • The Admiral, 1 Dupont Circle, NW. Washington DC

The Cornell Club of Washington invites all fellow alumni in Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland to celebrate the legacy and tradition of Theodore Zinck's

Multiple Zinck's in the Washington DC area.

This years Zinck's in Washington DC will be at The Admiral, 1 Dupont Circle (main entrance on New Hampshire Ave,, south side of the Circle)

Come join us in DC - Walk-ins welcome!

A second Zinck's is set in Reston.   https://cornellclubdc.org/event-5872576

Another other Zinck's in the Washington DC area may be posted soon.

Theodore Zinck was a saloonkeeper in Ithaca and his pub, the Hotel Brunswick, was a popular gathering place for Cornellians in the 1890s. After his death in 1903, several bars using his name continued to provide a haven for students. When the last “Zinck’s” closed in the mid-60s, celebrating the spirit of Zinck’s became a favorite Thursday night Collegetown tradition of undergraduates. It wasn't long afterwards that Cornellians continued the tradition in their hometowns.

Cost: Includes light food and appetizers, and there is a cash bar with our own private bartender

    Members - $20
    Non-Members - $25
