Join your fellow Cornellians, family, and friends for a casual walk around some of the monuments: Korean War Veterans (KWVM), Vietnam War Veterans & several others.  

Learn about these monuments as we walk including the involvement of Cornellians in planning & execution of the KWVM, as well as the process of memorializing the veterans who fought for our country as honored in the national war memorials we see on the Mall next Saturday(11/07).

When friends & family visit,  you will be able to add to the experience with a few interesting facts about these monuments which may be familiar but perhaps not in detail.

Dress for comfort & bring water if you care to.  We will gather for lunch nearby (buy your own) following the walk to socialize & to continue our conversation. (Optional)

When: Saturday,  November 7, 2015  10AM - Noon

Where: Meet at the Lincoln Memorial at Lincoln's feet.

Transportation: Foggy Bottom - GWU (Orange/Blue) Metro or street parking.
