As we reach the halfway point of our first term as Cornell Club of Washington co-Presidents we wanted to connect with you about the Club and where we are heading. Thanks to so many of you who have already joined us for events this year. Together we laid wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery, welcomed Cornell's Glee Club and Chorus, and connected with area alumni and friends at two locations for Zinck's Night. We toured museums and saw shows, cheered on Big Red women's gymnastics, and awarded scholarships to area students.

Our Spring calendar is just as full! From potlucks to book discussions, chances to cheer-on Cornell's baseball and softball teams, a visit to Glenstone Museum, and a hike up Old Rag Mountain, to name just a few. We are also continuing our monthly Explore DC Happy Hour Series—another opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones who share a connection to Cornell.

This year we have set a goal of a hundred new members and we are almost there. If you are not currently a member of the Club, please join us! Our membership categories include alumni, parents and friends. And we have a Life Membership category for those who wish to join once and also support CCW scholarships.

Finally, if you are interested in helping us lead the Club and create opportunities for area alumni to join together, please consider contributing your energy to our Board. The nominating process for 2024-25 Board positions has just opened. If you would like to nominate someone to serve—including yourself—please let us know at president@cornellclubdc.org. Another way you can assist the club in directing our energies is to complete our short survey. Thank you!
