Event 2 of 3 in the first annual Elizabeth Garrett Cornell Cares Day series.
Calling all animal lovers for a wonderful volunteer opportunity!
Is doing good deeds and assisting the truly helpless one of your intended New Year’s resolutions for 2017?
We have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.
The Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF - www.lostdogrescue.org
) is once again partnering with Cornell Club of Washington, D.C.
Our volunteers will staff a LDCRF Adoption Event at Petsmart in Fairfax, VA.
Since 2001, LDCRF has been taking in abandoned or displaced dogs and cats facing euthanasia, and placing them in loving foster and permanent homes. All animals in the care of LDCRF have been spayed or neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. LDCRF stages adoption events at locations around the DC metro area to show off their adorable animals to prospective adopters.
At this adoption event, volunteers will be responsible for a dog. Each volunteer will walk the dog around the store, introduce the dog to prospective adopters, answer questions, and help the potential adopters with the adoption process. Each volunteer will be given a file to become acquainted with the dog.
Maximum capacity of 10 volunteers
Space is limited for this event, so RSVP early!
Each volunteer will be assigned a dog to watch over at a pet adoption event.
This event is limited to volunteers who are able to walk around with a dog throughout the event.
