Fall Service Event - Puppy Plogging at Carter Barron

  • 10/05/2019
  • 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
  • Carter Barron Amphitheater, 4850 Colorado Ave NW, Washington, DC 20011
Join Rock Creek Conservancy, Mayor's Office of the Clean City, and the National Park Service for “Puppy Plogging” as we remove trash from the Carter Barron area of Rock Creek Park.

Volunteers (and their dogs) will help remove trash from the Carter Barron area in support of Mayor's Office of the Clean City’s Pet Waste Campaign.  The word “plogging” is derived from the Swedish words for jogging and picking up litter.  This event will be a slightly slower pace - join us with your favorite four-legged friend to help clean up the area near the Carter Barron Amphitheater.  As a courtesy to others, make sure your dog enjoys being in close quarters with other dogs and people.  And, of course, make sure your dog is on leash and you have plenty of poop bags to spare.

Volunteers will meet beside the Brightwood Recreation Area by the entrance of the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center.  Parking is available in the lots.
