Join Cornell thought leaders Eric Acree, Edward Baptist, and David Silbey for an in-depth examination of the social, political, military, and technological history of Civil War in the United States while touring the Gettysburg National Military Park. Consider the origins of the conflict, study the strategies of Union and Confederate generals, and emerge with a deeper understanding of the battle and its enduring legacy.
From our base at the historic Gettysburg Hotel, this weekend seminar will combine deep-dive lectures, far-ranging discussions, and visits to key battlefield sites including Seminary Ridge, Devil’s Den, Pickett’s Charge, and the National Cemetery where Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address.
This four-day study tour, starting at $2,395, was designed by CAU exclusively for Cornell alumni, family, and friends.
