Networking can be genuine, easy, and fun. Social media is a powerful tool, use it to your advantage! While your resume is a static but essential piece for your career, your social media presence is dynamic and offers more opportunities for engagement. Both are important for showcasing what you have to offer.  In this interactive workshop we will  help you create a powerful and effective resume.  Additionally, you will learn how to use Canva to create different resume formats.  Finally, building on the work from the first workshop, we will optimize your LinkedIn profile and explore tools to update your resume, add hyperlinks, and more.

  • Week 5: How FABulous You Are! An Interactive Interview Prep Workshop with Melissa Reitkopp Cornell '85
Wednesday, April 30 at 12:30pm - Join Zoom here!
Think of an interview as a chance to market yourself-it's all about being prepared with the right info and knowing how to close. Anticipating questions and sharing clear, impactful responses will make you more effective.  We will work in an interactive workshop to learn the FAB (Features, Accomplishments, Benefits) method that incorporates a behavioral interview technique called STAR (Situation, Task, Action Results), a game-changer for interview prep. The FAB with STAR stories is a powerful way to help you "show, not tell." Solid prep means you'll feel more confident, provide stronger answers, and have better conversations. Don't forget to identify and overcome any objections with key closing questions.
